Albaicin is an Arab district and one of the oldest in Granada. Situated between the hills, it contains numerous buildings, architecture, and streets that preserved the Muslim influence. The city used to have a lot of mosques, which were later converted into churches. The streets then were narrow and modest, with neat cottages and a plethora of wells, some of which may still be found in Albaicin.
